A balmy and almost windless summers evening, complete with yellow fields of Oil Seed Rape, finally brought summer to the Hull Thursday Time Trial Series at Gilberdyke on 22nd May 2012. As is customary, this event would never be complete without the obligatory tractors on the route, and the local farmers did their best, once again, to oblige.
Thankfully this spanner in the works only created a handicap for some of the earlier starters. Mercifully it was a clear and fair fight between the late starters. And the victor? As is becoming a habit of late, Steve Coates of the We Love Mountains Racing Team in a time of 17 min 35 seconds, a clear 21 seconds in front of second placed Nathan Wilson not of the We Love Mountains Race Team.
With Simon Pickering taking a sixth overall it was another bright night for The We Love Mountains Race Team!
