WLM RT welcomes Alex Mitchell for 2012

There are a few changes to the We Love Mountains Racing Team for the 2012 season.

Over the next week or so we will be introducing you to our new team members and giving a bit of background info on them.

We will have a full line up of existing team members and also let you know who does what within the team.

We now have increased support from the Hull University Sports Science Dept who are now working closely with the performance testing of the WLM team.   This has already been beneficial over the winter training months.

The first new addition to be welcomed aboard is Alex Mitchell.  Alex will be racing an Orbea Orca SLT for the WLM RT for the 2012 race season.

Name: Alex Mitchell
Age = 22
Height = 183cm
Weight = 67kg
Cycling discipline: Road racing
Time in competitive cycling: 1 year (only did a few races in 2010)
First competitive bike: Trek Madone 5.2
Favourite racing circuit: Quite like a circuit in the West Midlands near Inkberrow
Favourite/most inspiring cyclist: When I was younger Iban Mayo or Armstrong, these days Cancellara is awesome to watch
Most inspiring cycling performance of 2011: Andy Schleks win in the Tour de France was pretty epic
Likes: New found love of Belgian Cyclo-cross, fresh coffee and Mallorca (whenever I get chance to pedal over there)
Dislikes: Bike Mechnicals whislst riding, falling off, Cyclists (MTB riders) who think it’s execptable to wear shorts in -5 degrees. Waking up not remembering what had happened the night before (in the off-season of course)!
Favourite music: Trance/House/DnB & a bit of Hip Hop.
Cycling goals for 2012: consistent top 10 results in Regional A races would be nice, see if I can get a top 20 in a National B race as well.
Best result to date: Either 2nd in GT Ellingworth (3/4) or 6th at Doncaster Wheelers RR (2/3/4)
